    USA The Sons of Katie Elder

    The Sons of Katie Elder is currently on Sundance channel 239 DirectTv. Someone a little while ago asked, 'what is your favorite Western movie.' I guess this would be mine. I love the interaction between the Duke and George Kennedy. Dean Martin, Earl Holliman, Jeremy Slate, Dennis Hopper and Strother Martin make up a solid cast. Martha Hyer is a relatively inknown, but as kid watching this I thot she was a real looker.

    That’s all the wife and I have done today is watch John Wayne movies. The Cowboys is one of my favorites.

    I watched it as well for the 100th time. I enjoy the part when The Duke is leaving the undertaker's hearse area and he has to bend down to clear the door opening. Love most any John Wayne movie.

    I have this movie memorized word for word. I watched it on VHS when I was a kid about 100 times. Such a classic.

    Love the Sons of Katie Elder. Did you know that Paul Fix, who played the sheriff Billy, was Harry Carey Jr father in law. Harry Carey Jr was in several John Wayne films.
