    TIGHT LINE JIGGING ARTIFICALS

Fish south east louisiana, and get a lot of bumps/hits on tight line jigs.
color doesnt seem to matter so much, but wondering if buoyancy of plastic i am using does.
lots of hits come when jig is stationary on bottom.
i m beginning to think that the more the plastic is vertical in the water, on the bootm, the fish seem to see it better and strike.
Question anyone notice that different plastic artificial that sit more vertical(float) get more hits/strikes?
    thanks

    You trout fishing?

I don't ever catch specks on the bottom. I think if you're on the bottom you're just gonna have croaker and white trout bites. When you're "jigging" with bottom contact, long strokes of the rod are critical...specks almost always hit on the fall. They are definitely not bottom feeders.

Different plastics won't make a bit of difference.
