I bought a 2016 Rt188 at the end of July this year. I haven't had any trouble loading it but when I unload on some of the steeper ramps the bow of the boat hits the spare tire about a foot from the end. Has this happened to anybody else?

mine is older but basically the same I believe. It would load better with two people in the boat verses one. So when by myself I try to sit in the middle best I can seems to work better for me.

Put a 12” V keel roller on the cross member closest to the axle,
    problem solved.

Are you setting the height of the roller so that it is not carrying weight when the boat settles onto the bunks?

Yes it’s a inch or so under the boat when it’s all the way on the bunks.

way to deep if tops of fender are under water. Dunk it till the front step (before the fender) is just touching the water.

YES!! I have destroyed a couple of spare tire covers, and am very concerned that the rim may get damaged from it hitting it. Since I am now aware of the steeper ramps in my area, I just remember to back in VERY slowly.

If I could figure out how to post one I would.
Might have to email me before it’s over.
With Rayburn being 5’ low it would be almost impossible to load on these steep ramps without the roller guide.

Most pics taken with an iPhone are too large to load to the website. I use this app to resize single or Multiple pics prior to up loading.
It will load as a thumbnail but will upsize if you press it.

I just sent you a private message via the system built into this board and shared my contact info to make sending a pic easier. Thanks.

This is the trailer depth I load at too. My 2017 178 loaded at the same depth. Never had any issues.

I put this together from parts I had laying around. I have only had the opportunity to try it once on a steep ramp and it helped a lot. Jury is still out but if it proves out, I will improve on the brackets and rollers and make it permanent.

I put a 12” vee roller on the cross member closest to the axle couple inches under the keel.
    Boat loads like a dream.

I’ve been fighting a low water ramp at Trinity. The angle of the ramp is super steep. The rear side bunks are a couple of feet under the water by the time I get the trailer deep enough to get the bow to float high enough to get over the front roller by the wench. These fiberglass poles just slip in and off when needed. They will keep the back end from floating away with the hard side winds.
