If a guy that lives in central Indiana wanted to catch some pike what lake would you all recommend . Wanting to stay in Indiana for a quick day trip. Never caught pike and what time of year is best. Thank you.

I would say Lake Wawasee. I've only caught them while bass fishing.
thank you sir
Wawasee spinnerbaits have fun
Or consider going to Green River Lake, in Kentucky (about an hour from Louisville). They have musky - real musky.

Of course I talk to myself...sometimes I need expert advice.
Wawasee, winona, dewart, James chain for pike.
Barbee, tippy, Webster for musky.
And right now is a real good time. Spinnerbaits, traps, and swim jigs work well for pike.
thank you all
Nothin like catchin 'em on your own creation!
Fished wawasee today. Water was 72 -73. Caught maybe 10 bass no pike. Beautiful lake. Very clear water any suggestions would be much appreciated. Will fish another lake if pike or Muskie fishing is better. Thank you.
Black spinnerbait with chartreuse blades. Can't explain it, but I've seen it work.

Chapman and Winona have a bunch of pike and are smaller.
Clear Lake, Hamilton Lake, Lake James would be a few more to consider. Clear holds Indiana's state record for a pike I believe. Hamilton has lots of big ones that get fat on the shad in the lake.
