I’ve been very happy with my guidewear, but hard to make comparisons as I haven’t had many different brands. Recently bought insulated aftco hydraunaut for winter time (even though it will likely sit for a while now lol), and I do really like the fit and the way the hood/face protection works on it.

When Frabil stopped making rain gear
There was a site selling the jackets and bids for 40 bucks. I bought 3 sets

The pair i wear the most is a Cabelas Pack light set, Works as a wind breaker and it's light in the summer

20 years outta my first set of guidewear and I just bought another set of guidewear extreme it doesn’t seem as thick of denier material so I can’t comment on durability just yet but it’s water proof. If I had a complaint the distance between neck and chin ain’t wide enough for those times ya want ya face covered comfortable

That’s my main complaint with the guide wear too. Have to pack a separate face mask because it won’t zip over my face.

Coleman rain gear works great for me. Also carry a spare outfit for brothers who forget their raingear.

Had Guidewear for years, great product. Did not like the new style, went with GILL, second year with it. So far its been great.

My wife has an older set of guide wear so I cannot comment on the new stuff but if it hasn't changed I love it. I have bass pro 100 mph. And if she isn't with me I steal hers.

Guidewear cooler weather…Frog Toggs in warmer temps. Have used both for years.

Guidewear Lite for when it's nasty out (have 20 years on it iirc). I keep a Frabill F1 jacket in the boat and another in the truck - can't be beat for the $25-$30 I paid, and excellent weight for warm weather or layering.

Columbia, I have a set for cold weather and a set for warm weather. Quality rain gear at a reasonable price.
