We have some new, mechanical shift 250 SS's available (the "original" 250 SS) if anyone is looking for one.

New as in new cowling. Mine is old cowling but new lower. New ones should have the new lower with lower water pickup etc.

What are your thoughts on the fly by wire vs mechanical? Is it worth it?

The fly by wire controls are awesome love being able to switch from the hot foot to the shifter for throttle control. Helping me break it in quick so I can keep rpms where I want them in choppy water...

Motors got a ton of power another hour and then I can start working on getting it dialed in with motor height and prop.

As you can tell by the name I am actually aTech at a Suzuki repower center and the only 250ss available (If a dealer dont have it in stock) is the white one and it could be gotten in just a couple weeks. If they are on order they are backordered and delivery date is TBD I know we have some on order. I also noticed above someone ask about retrofitting the new gearcase to the older motors, if your motor is a2020 or newer yes it can be retrofitted older than that Suzuki says it can't.

Thanks for the information. Not sure what changed on the lower unit on the 250SS between 2018 and 2020 so the new ones wouldn't work, but good to know.
