Pro Team 175txw Garmin Force upgrade

I have a 2018 ProTeam 175 that I'm going to be upgrading to the Garmin Force. What changes will I need to make switching to 24volt other than battery?

The factory wiring is fine, you just need a jumper between the positive and negative, a 60 amp breaker and either a 3 bank charger or use your 2 bank on the trolling motor batteries and get a single charger for your cranking battery.

Yep. I agree more with an Ultrex over the Force.

I've got the Force on my 175 and it's honestly the best money I've ever spent on outdoor equipment and I've spent a BUNCH thru the years. You will love it and will be very happy with it.

Seen a lot of guys in the Pro Team 175 Owners Group over on FB lately upgrading and seen several going to the Force but don't believe I have seen any mention the cover fitting so I am assuming it isn't an issue like it is with the Ultrex but I could be wrong.

Did you rewire? Garmin says 6 AWG. I've heard of spotty glitches (GPS, tracking, etc.) if it does not have dedicated wire.

Wiring should already be 6g in there. It is in my 2016 I think.

    From the force installation manual:

Power cable extensions must use single-conductor wire, with aminimum 75°C (167°F) insulation, that is not bundled, notsheathed, and not run through conduit. If you are using wire with105°C (221°F) insulation or better, you can bundle up to threeconductors inside a sheath or conduit outside of engine spaces. When installing the power cable extension, you must followindustry standards and best practices.

Extension length Minimum wire gauge Optimal wire gauge
    0 to 3 m (0 to 10 ft. ) 6 AWG (16 mm2) 6 AWG (16 mm2)
    3 to 4.6 m (10 to 20 ft.) 6 AWG (16 mm2) 4 AWG (25 mm2)
