    Finish-Rite Coatings... Anyone try it?

I ordered a quart to try. I'm not sure if this is a moisture cure product, But they claim it's fast drying.

I'll be playing with it soon. I hope it don't eat up the paint jobs like I have seen in the past.

Shame it does not mention the reducer used. Guessing its a waterborn material being non-yellowing. If by chance its an Acetone or another hot thinner you might have lifting problems.

I think I read somewhere of a few guys using it. I would test it out first.

It does dry fast. I dipped a bait, Went to dinner and was dry when I got home. I dipped again to see how 2 coats last.

    On the can... It says.

It's the fastest drying clear I have dipped. It's thicker and covers way better. I have some cranks I did on the turner. Some with 2 dips, some with 3. Looks amazing. Durability is unknown at the moment.

It also seems to by okay with plastisol as well. I left a finished jighead in a bag of worms over night and no signs of trouble.

I just built some prototype in line buzzbaits that I cleared 2X today.... I'll skirt them tomorrow and see how they hold up very soon.

It's not a waterbase for sure... Smells like acetone or similar. It did not lift or wrinkle any paint.

This will be interesting to see. Are you using water based paints? I’m currently dipping UV, so far, I like it, but I’m always ready to try anything new, you never know. Thanks for the info, hope it works out well for you.

Yes, I use some water base air brush paints, But mostly water base craft paints. I just finished another batch of custom buzzbaits and only put 1 coat on them just to see what happens. Still looks great.

I still haven’t fished with any thing yet. So far I’m liking it better than KBS for its coverage and extremely fast drying.

This will be my favorite clear if it's fairly durable.. And I have tried more than most people.

The durability test has yet to come... But it's very promising.
