So do I understand correctly that if I have a Pt1 my map should not spin while sitting still? It seems to? The part number for mine is 001-11047-001. I’ve had it for a few years and assume the last few numbers being 001 instead of 002 it might be a earlier version, but still the same? I don’t recall the map not being stable while not moving earlier, years back, but may have? Seems to work fine otherwise.

Old thread ; but will a Lowrance Point-1ap Gps Module work with two Lowrance units (TI2) to keep charts from spinning, and for transom waypoint's GPS?
    [Point-1, 000-11047-002, $279.99 /// Point-1AP, 000-12930-002, $219.00]
    TIA

Yes, if all units and the Point 1 are connected into a functional NMEA 2000 network

The difference between Point-1 and Point-1 AP are the time constants for the filtering of some of the data, the heading from Point-1 AP is much more dampened than the standard version. Point-1 AP is much better as an autopilot compass but not as good as the standard version for chart and radar heading.
