    has anyone went from ram mount to balzout mount?

    I have a D size ram mount now on my boat and it's not really holding my graph too well so I just placed an order for a Balzout mount from tacklewarehouse and I believe that it does not come with any mounting hardwares. Does anyone know if the base of the balzout is the same as the ram mounts? According to the pictures they look very similar, I just dont want to drill anymore holes on my boat.

    It fits in the same holes as the round D base.

    Yes it does. But i went from size 8 screws to size 10's. It is definitely a stronger mount.
