Needing advise on trolling motor for pontoon...

Hello people...have a 18.5 ft tin with a motor guide trolling motor on it. Have a G3 pontoon and have never had a trolling motor attached to it. The shaft length on the tin boat trolling motor is 45in. That size of shaft is just about right for the boat.... My question is...what size would be the best fit for a G3 pontoon? Do I need the 60 or would the 52 be long enough? Don't want a flagpole on the front end but want it to be long enough to work.

    thoughts?

I recently sold my Crest Family Fisherman 22 foot pontoon boat and it had a Minn Kota trolling motor with a 54 inch shaft that worked very well, very happy with it. Hope that helps!
