Current Conditions on Lake Ray Roberts

For those that are there or local, what are the current conditions on the lake right now? Water temp? Visibility? How high above normal pool? Shad spawn? Dropping or still rising? How fast? What’s been winning local derbies there?

Water is about 3' high, water temps in mid to high 70s. Shad and bass spawn pretty well done. Low to.mid 90s air temps all weekend, not much wind forecast. Lake will.not fall much if any. Water color still pretty good.

Weights really vary here on local stuff. 22-25lbs wins them but weights fall fast. Can reasonably expect a 30lb stringer or two in the Classic and a double digit or two weighed in. I think several will struggle and some will zero. There will be a fair amount of less than 5 fish bags. 13-14lbs a day to make cut I think. Weights will be top heavy for first few places.

Water temps are closer to 80 degrees depending on where you are on the lake! On the Tuesday Night tournament took 13.70 lbs to win!

There will be some Pro's that have less than desirable words about the lake when it's all said and done

The Summer switch has been flipped, and now comes the heat and humidity and gangster speeds. Florida bass do not like big weather swings.
