It is with deep regret that I inform you all of the the passing of Jim Spears of Danville Indiana. (Buster502) as we all knew him here on BBC 66, passed away April 1, 2021. He was a Skilled Trades Mechanic for General Motors. James was a Proud Veteran of the US Army-National Guard and an Avid Fisherman.
Buster as I knew him was an incredibly kind man. We had a few things in common that spawned our friendship. We both ran the same 04 Ranger 519 vx and would often share tips about the boats as well as any upgrades we were making on our boats. After developing our friendship as we all have done on BBC we started to make calls to each other. It was at that point we realized we both suffered from the after effects of throat cancer and our bond grew. We spoke about getting together and fishing this summer. When last we spoke he mentioned to me that he wasn't feeling great lately and was having even more issues swallowing. I was contacted today from his loving wife that Jim had passed April 1.
If I may, can I please ask all of you to take a moment and send a prayer for our BBC brother and his family.
Lastly, I want to say to all of us , please don't put off the little things like going fishing with a new friend.
God just gained a new fishing buddy.
RIP Buster
