    I removed the front plate and mounted on rod tubes also, works perfect. I think Zip tying to the rod tubes helps as a shock absorber too

    I mounted my box behind the hotfoot and ran the wires up to the front using the tubes in the stb side was a pain. also ran dedicated wiring from the battery to a blueseas fuse block. also a pain. But the results were clean power no interference and a clean install. No problems with anything !! Also an L boat
