    70 MGL

Just bought a 70HG MGL from a guy stating it had been used once. The reel looks nib but after spooling it I noticed it is geary. Has anyone else experienced this or know what it might be?

I bought a new one a few weeks ago. I mounted it on a rod but have not spooled it up yet. Silky smooth. Could just be a lack of lube.

From the sounds of it I doubt it was used just once especially a 7:1. Is it audible ss well or do you just feel it? Dan

my 71 MGL brass gears started buzzing after a couple of trips. My Bantam MGL sounds and feels even worse. Not a fan of Micro Module gears.

I cleaned and re-greased the gears with ACT 2 grease which helped for a short time, but the "buzz" returned soon after.
