    The battery shuts down not the motor! Motors will start and run on lifepo4 batteries just fine, not all lifepo4 batteries can handle the charging voltage and amps from an outboard.

    I have the Powerhouse Lithium "run and gun" and my dual pro 4 bank charges both my 36V lithium and my 16V dedicated electronic Powerhouse lithiums as well as the X2 crank battery. The run and gun is handy since it uses your existing charger and also distributes charge when you are running on the lake.
