    Triton jack plate/ prop questions....

    Never mind, thanks for the replies. Turns out the “Tuned” 24 Fury I bought off eBay is a piece of junk. Regular 24 Fury runs much better.

    Well a hydraulic jack plate is like having a standard transmission you have a gear for every condition on the lake or load on your boat so that being said if you raise the jackplate you lift more boat out of the water thus less resistance if you lower the motor you will increase the resistance now with a three blade prop the higher you go the prop will loose bite so thats why you lose speed now if you had a four blade raising the motor would increase your speed so your job is to find the sweet spot in the particular day whether it be lake condition or load and keep it there i move mine all day depending on what the situation is but i prefer a four blade with that hull that's just my opinion.
