The simplest repair is an end-cap kit (engine full-up position, safety latch set, simply unscrew yours, lubricate the seal in the new one, and install it).

those sometimes are very hard to remove.Make sure you get the exact right size spanner,pin wrench.If you damage those holes,you have another,possibly bigger problem to deal with

If you rag 'em out BEFORE you get 'em out, as the saying goes, you will be so far beyond screwed that it will take sunlight 6 months to get from screwed to where you are. :)
I found a really nice spanner/pin wrench online. Had several different pin sizes and worked perfectly on my rebuild of tilt and the two trim cylinders.
