I did what you all said and tried putting the plate all the way up. It helped considerably but I still had trouble getting planed out with 2 people and tournament loaded. I had to have my partner get up on the front deck and I could get it on plane but if he didn't get up there, it would not. Once on plane with that load, best speed I could get with the 15.25 x 22 prop was 57 mph. I think what I need is a 14.25" or 14.5" diameter with 23 pitch.

I have a dumb question with all this prop testing are they a vented prop, My Optimax was pretty doggy coming out of the hole until I had a prop shop drill 3 3/8 inch holes to vent, night and day difference in hole shot. Hit the throttle the rpm jumps to about 3600-3800 as the boat catches up to the motor it`s like it shifted gears and gone.

Any updates on the prop for the 200 Suzuki? I’m looking to repower my 20ft Cobra with one.

start with prop higher then lower plate when boat is rolling over to avoid blow out works well
the mercs are venting the 4 stokes to get rpms in correct spot, maybe the Suzuki needs some venting also?

I picked up a Tempest Plus 14 3/4 x 23 from John's Hot Props in Ozark Mo. Going to run it this week and see what I get.

Repowered my 1997 Release 21 with a 250SS. Called Ken at Propgods, he recommended a solas Scorpion 24 after asking a half a dozen questions.
    The guy knows props.
The boat literally JUMPS out of the hole and is flying at 6100 rpms.
Like you, I was wondering the same thing. DF200 or 250SS.
I love my 250SS, and it does love running high, especially with the scorpion prop.
