Here's a picture of my old Cajun that I haven't posted before. But there is a story that goes along with it.
I was good friends with the dealer I bought my boats from back then, but I loved to tease him. He was sort of gulable and would fall for anything, especially if you could keep a straight face. I could.
I used to gripe to him all the time about how slow my Paul Elias was to get on plane. I told him it put out such a wake that tow boats would slow down, and turn their bows to me. I told him I had time to eat a sandwich while I was waiting for it to drop over on plane. I didn't know until later that he took me seriously and thought I didn't like the boat.
Anyway, my pet name for the boat was "The Barge." I told him once that I was fishing near the Lone Star gravel mine, and they dumped a load of sand into the boat, thinking I was one of their gravel barges pulling up.
After dropping it off to be serviced once, the guys who worked in the shop, buddies and club members, decided to dress up "The Barge."
Below is the result.
You can't really see all the stuff they did. They hung tires all around it. They have a big piece of hawser rope around the trailer. They put masts in the seat holders. They couldn't find a mop to toss over the T/M. It was a riot. I laughed till I cried.

I took these shots yesterday as I am preparing it for the winter. The spring will bring many changes to this boat. It's a 1988 Cajun Espirit Nordic Edition. I have not seen any other on this board or anywhere else for that matter. Can anyone tell me anything about this boat?

I forgot to mention that I wasn't at Mardi Gras this year because I was out in my Cajun..[IMG]http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h229/suprtul/IMG_0184.jpg

I'm new here so I hope you don't mind if I show off the pics of my "new" 1988 Cajun Demon. Bought it from a friends widow and had to redo all the electrical, boat floor, carpet and host of other odds and ends. Had it out once for a shakedown and came home with another list of to-do's! I still need to polish it up and replace the front fish finder but at least it runs and is ready to fish!
