Hello, anyone have any reports on the newly opened Lake Bois D'Arcy?

Several threads in the TFF Bass forum about it.
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.

Just what we need another Yankee coming down. I read they are closing it for 3 more years.

    Can't believe everything you hear.
Went there during the week and would say the lake had boats on it and several in the coves we fished.
But I would not say it was packed.
Parking lot was not 1/2 full.

If you are used to Fork in its day, then the new lake really isn't that busy. Just not enough boat ramps or parking.

    Latest updates:
Parking has been full around 8-10 AM depending on the day of the week.
Guides are bringing in clients having good days of 30+ fish. Non-guides are catching similar numbers, but it's slowing down.
Size has been around 2-3 lbs; but there's been a few 7+ caught (pictures are out there).
Lake was on fire the few weeks as the fish were dumb. It's starting to slow down some.
Lake is fishing small, as there are still green trees in the back of the lake / coves blocking boats from full use.
When the wind gets up, you're in for fun.

    Hopefully this helps you all.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

Current largemouth record is just over 9#. This lake is -heavily- managed by Texas Parks and Wildlife and is only stocked with "Lone Star" breed bass, which come from the Sharelunker program.

The genetics in the lake are like nowhere else.

I may go out there this weekend for the first trip.
