Just fyi, you can almost fit 2 Ionic 50ah batteries in one 31 group tray..

Yes sir, no problem...a little trick....cut a tray in half and spread the 2 pieces apart a put a battery in each piece..

The 125 fit perfect.

When I went to the 3 50's in my old Puma - I removed the BC tray and bought one designed for the Ionic 50's

It was reasonably priced

I have the ionic 50’s in my lynx. Two on the port side one on the starboard with the cranking battery. The factory bracket’s the hold them down won’t work due to they hit the terminals. So we used the buckle battery straps the secure them.

I had to slightly modify the BCB tandem tray to fit 3 60ah Impulse LiFePo4 batteries which are about the same as your Ionics. I removed the hold down bracket, threaded rods, spacers and the middle block. The thread pitch on the spacer holes on either end is 1/4-20 so go to your hardware store and buy two Eye Bolts (see link below). All three batteries should fit easily. Now, run a ratchet strap or some other type of hold down from one eye bolt to the other. I ordered a custom strap from strap works with a stainless ratchet but most any would work. They have stayed put for 5 years included some rough trips ti Lake Erie.
