    Goodyear Endurance Tire Pressure

    I am now running Goodyear Endurance tires on my trailer and they've got an 80psi maximum load rating. The tires are ST225/75R15 E. I've always run my trailer tires at maximum load capacity, but that was usually 60lbs max. Should I inflate to 80lbs? Do these tires have a different set of rules/standards since they are such heavy duty tires?

    Mine say 65 max ? I run them at 55 psi

    What does the info plate on the trailer call for.
    I have mine at 50 for my short runs (10 miles).

    What does it say on the trailer? The PSI listed on the tire is the Max PSI not the recommended PSI.

    When I bought mine guy suggested 60 to minimize sidewall wear and heat. They ride nice at 60, better than a Class C tire at 50.

    Pressures are based on weight, not how heavy duty the tire is.

    Look up the tire pressure chart from Goodyear and inflate to the correct psi for the weight each tire is carrying. Cj

    It would be since the weight of the trailer and boat hasn't changed.

    According to this ---
    If you change from a ST205-75R15 to a ST225-75R15 with a 2020 lb rig. It requires about 12 PSI less for the ST 225-75R15
    I swapped out the low mileage ST tires for a longer lasting LT tire on my trailer and they require 15 PSI more than the trailer sticker.
    So much for the old trailer sticker that was for the original tire.
    Think I'll go by what the tire manufacture calls for verses trailer sticker. I do know that most tire failures occur from under inflated tires at highway speeds.

    Agreed on the max and mfr recommendations. But he's not at max pressure, he's slightly below 60psi looking at the chart. Max is 65 for that tire.

    No, he has E-series tires which max out at 80 or 85 psi look down the chart halfway and far to the right

    Regardless of what range they are I always run 5-15 psi under max.
