    Hole in Tube Frame Trailer

Recently noticed a water leak under the cross member on my tube frame trailer a week after I had the boat out. It appears there is a hole in both the front and rear cross member. I've haven't had the boat long and don't have any experience with tube frame trailers. Was there a hole there from the factory or did it rust through? Also should I open it up or seal it?

It's a weep hole to let any water that gets in the tube frame drain out. Don't seal it, but nothing wrong with cleaning it up and putting some kind of protectant on it.

weep hole --but I would clean it up some and spray with a paint to seal it up so it continues to be a weep hole also!

Spray Fluid Film in and around there instead of paint as it will stop the rusting in it’s tracks.
