I would agree that he has downgraded in terms of quality and prestige, but he is probably getting more money from these other companies. A company like Megabass can run just on their reputation and sell all the lures they can make at a very profitable margin. A company like Googan is just making cheaper knockoffs of established products and depending on all the hype from these guys to sell them. I guarantee that Megabass will still be a big-name brand 5 years from now while Googan and other "viral brands" fall by the wayside.

ya I agree. The money must’ve been the main factor. I mean even Aaron Martens left megabass to join with Enigma. But Megabass definitely has the prestige and quality which makes them the company most measure up against.

Reese going to KastKing sounds like a good gig. W&M sure cut back on most of his signature series stuff so thought a change was coming.

Aaron left Megabass rods to help out a friend, Jessie Tacorante. The whole industry was miffed by that one when announced but it was later disclosed that Aaron and Jessie were close friends and Aaron helped him out. What I don't know is if Aaron left Megabass or Megabass left Aaron on lures and Aaron was with Duo Realis.

There was a little bit more to it than that. Aaron didn't leave on bad terms and was still loved and respected by MB.

From the sponsor”What have you done for me lately? Around here JL’s name is seldom mentioned. It’s not about what you’ve done but what you’re gonna do. I don’t see JL competing with the caliber of new talent on the horizon.
