PLEASE HELP: Any experience with Vision Marine Hauler Tires?

    Howdy,

I need five (5) new tires for my Ranger 522D. Unfortunately due to the size, ST 215/65 R 17, the only tires that are available are the Vision Marine Hauler and the crappy Lodestar tires that the boat came with.

Note, I will not buy the Loadstar ever again as I had TWO (2) of them blow out within the last week. The boat is a 2019.

The Vision Marine Hauler tires are E rated while the Loadstar were C rated. Is that a problem? I want to stick with trailer tires for obvious reasons, however, it’s very hard to find tires in this unique size.

Any experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Take care,

    Ruddiger

I would say you’re on the right track.! That’s a heavy rig.! I run D rated for the z521 and would never drop below that.! C rated tires are for casual use only.!!

Vision HH seem to be a really good tire just not enough reviews on here about them ive been looking at them or maxxis or endurance are the only choices I trust post your review if you install these on your rig im on 14 inch wheels and keeping these due to cushion on the side wall trailer rides amazing

Still have kendas on my 522D for now. I keep them maxed out on air. They have worn well and held up great for the Southern Ohio to St Clair hwys i've traveled on. I put General altimax on my old 521L so I was thinking of reusing them on this 522D when the time comes but the Vision might be a better choice. Ill def check them out when the time comes

Ruddiger did you go with the Vision? I just blew a Kendra on my 522D and don't want to go with car tires for this big rig. Any opinion on the Vision Marine Hauler in 17 inch is appreciated.

The car tires have a higher load rating than the Kendas did.

Going to take 3 to 4 weeks to get the Vision so I went with the Defender 2. The ratings look pretty good. Can't be worse then the Kenda.

    Howdy,

As a follow-up to my post, yes, I went with the Vision Marine Haulers last summer. So far they have held up well. I think the Kendra‘s road a little smoother because they have a lower PSI, however, I would never put them on a trailer again.

    Take care,

Good to hear. Just ordered a set of the Visions after another Kenda failed. Out of the 10 Kendas I’ve had, 6 failed. 3 broken belts and 3 lost in their tread. I have heard that shipping causes issues with some of the overseas tires. “They take a stack. Put them in a press them metal strap them so they can ship more in a container. It messes the belts up”. Anyone else ever heard of that?

I got the Vision HH for my 521L. They are good tires. Can run them at 70lbs but generally run them at 55lbs. I’ve had them for about a year and pulled them for 5000+ miles in that time. No problems.

I’ve had belt separations on all 4 Kendra’s. Absolute crap. Plus their price doubled to 216 per tire on e trailer site. You can get into better tires cheaper. Want to do the Vision tire but no one has them in stock and lead times at a few places were about a month.

Same - Oddly they were good for about 1.5 years (including the initial trip over the mountains from Pro's Choice to Raleigh), then I had 1 fail after another until I replaced 4 of them - all separated belts (assumed they must have a shelf life). Next set will be the Defenders for sure.

Received my new visions today. Ordered on eBay last Saturday. Great price, $584+tax, and they were produced 12th week of 24, so they’re very fresh. 3910pplus was the seller if anyone wants a set.
