Being Right Handed, I prefer to fish off the Port side. This allows me more ease of movement as my path of casting is over the Bow, not over the Console. Plus there is less likelihood of accidently hitting my co-angler. AND, the Ideal co-angler should be LEFT handed, lol !!!

I spider rig for crappie a lot of the time, so both for me. However, when I take other people fishing, I tend to sit on the port side and let the other person play with Livescope pole installed on the starboard side.
