    Favorite Method to make hotdogs

Hotdogs are my favorite food to make and eat. I like to spiral cut them then cook them in the frying pan with oil and butter. I jut learned a local place has Wagyu beef hotdogs and so my Saturday night meal is set. I want to maximize this experience. What are some other methods you all like for hotdogs (Do not say boiling them for this is inferior technique).

My favorite way is to use a charcoal grill and indirect heat to warm them first, then direct heat to char.

Most of the time just plain cook out on grill until they split, but sometimes I really go for a steamed dog

A toaster oven will cook a hotdog to perfection if you don't feel like firing up the grill just to cook your wiener.

Microwave. 20 seconds. Turn. 15 seconds. Pause. 10 seconds. Top with canned chilli, dices onion and a tiny line of mustard. Heated bun.

Or cut them up into nickel slices and add to sweet baked beans.
Hang on. I'll help you in 77 minutes.

On the grill with some char, or if in a hurry poke a few holes in them and cook in the microwave.

Bigger conversation is what goes ON your wiener.

Started tinkering the the air fryer lately. Spiral cut them and pop them in the air fryer for a few minutes creates a pretty decent dog. Really better with a premium thicker dog though. Lots of flavor like this.

Apply your favorite BBQ rub then throw them in the smoker. Spiral or not, they're great either way.

Like the chicken/pork dog. Don't like the "all beef" ones. Not the red wigglers, just a nice, cheap pink, mystery meat dog. Like Hardees had in the mid 80's. The chili is the most important part.

Sahlen’s on the grill. Weber’s horseradish mustard, relish, onion, jalapeño.

Cut em down the center, not all the way through, and fry em.

On the grill has to be my favorite but the air fryer method is probably my most common lately.

My wife likes a semi-charred skin, while I don't at all. Given my druthers, I like the taste of a boiled dog.
