    License

Staying in Hilton Head for a few days next week, does S.C. offer a 1-3 day nonresident freshwater license?

You will only need one day as after you see how many alligators are in that area, you wont want to fish from shore.
If that is your game plan.

I’ve heard the same thing from others.

Just like most, I went there with my wife and figured I'd fish early then late in the day from the shore in many of the lakes in Hilton Head.
    Nope Nope and Nope.
I honestly then put my rods in the truck for the rest of the week.
But you may be different as I hate alligators.

I’m fine with them as long as they keep there distance and/or stay visible.

I bought a license when I was up there about a month ago. They needed my social security number. I don't think I had to provide that in Florida. It sounds like they needed it for just the first purchase.
