O-ring mystery?
Opti. 225 1B189215
I pulled two small black torn o-rings from inside the
fuel Schrader valve. Small enough to be inside the
stem and bypass the valve core. Engine will not
crank and fuel pressure will not hold and leaks down.
Air side pressure .holds. O-nngs definitely black -
not red. Thanks for any help.

Probably the seal that belongs in the top of the service cap

Solved. Looks like the o-ring was from inside the fuel side
fitting on the dual test gauges. It came off when attached for
testing. Now, where to find really small o-rings to replace on the gauge.

Mercury 3L/4 Stroke/Verado Moderator
As I recall they're not a traditional o-ring. The remnants may look like one, though.

They are not common as they are a square cut instead of a round, in pinch I have use round ones
