I don’t know much about tempest props but I remember reading on here before that some are more sought after than others. What should I be looking for to decide if the one I have is just a regular one or something special? Thanks.

Any of them are fine, the best ones are the ones that have been worked and blueprinted by a good prop shop. Its best to find one slightly damaged for cheap and send it to a good prop shop like Mark's to have it fixed and blueprinted.
I have a 25P A45 Tempest that I was told was highly sought after.

I may be wrong but I think people wanted the A43 as the blades were thinner. Helped speed! Don't remember exactly. My brother had one that the vent holes weren't round and we're fixed.
A40 is what my bro had, 23 pitch!

The A40 and A45's had thinner blades and faster, But less durable. Personally, I wouldn't run one on today's higher HP and bigger loaded rigs. They will fail. Hard to find one that has not been molested by a poor repair guy.
