    AT2 Swap

Just bought the AT2 to replace my AT1 and was wondering if the control module is the same as the AT1? Can you just plug in the new transducer or do you have to replace the whole system?

Box is the exact same size with same mounting holes and cable attachments. Really easy to change. The transducer connection is the same as well.

Replacw the full system. You will not get the full improvement by using the AT2 transducer with the AT1 module. Mounting holes are the same so it shouldn’t take you but just a few minutes to make the swap. It’s only 3 cables to reconnect.

So you just plug into existing cables or do you have to feed a new transducer cable to the bow?

Plug in existing Power cable and ethernet cable you used for your AT1 into your new AT2 module. You do have to run new AT2 transducer to the bow and also plug that into the new AT2 module. So biggest part of your install time will be taking out AT1 transducer and running the AT2 transducer.

Tru dat bgibson! Biggest part (pain) was taking out the old transducer and running the new one especially in my Ranger where the sidewall tubes are already maxed out with wires. Just ask Marc M (and watch his YouTube install video).

When you plug in an AT2 transducer to an AT1 box you will lose about 10% of the image quality that the new improved transducer performs at. So if you don't change it then we can expect you will be on here complaining about this and that when it an install problem. Your choice.
