Gun Control..... Is hitting your target every time
Expect 4’ rollers on main lake. Its gets pretty rough up near the dam when it’s only 10mph. If you are fishing the south end you’ll likely be able to find some places to fish. Watch your graphs as it gets shallow quick in places
She will be pretty spicy. Calling for South @ 11-16 gusting 35 Fri-Sun.

Depends on where you’re at. The farther north the worse it will be. If your not fishing a tournament there are plenty of ramps to put in to still be able to fish. Won’t trust the weather man you can probably add an extra 10.
Thranks for the replies. We would be south of Paris but above Birdsong. Is the water in the bushes yet.

Wind won’t be as bad south of Paris landing(below Big Sandy) as the lake narrows especially once you get south of Danville. There is a good ramp there btw. You can usually add at least 10 mph to the wind forecast when on the lake in my experience. The lake should be close to summer pool by the weekend, there will be a few places where some bushes have water in them, usually 1’ or less. Good luck!
Find a ramp in a big bay, and don’t leave it.
I live on the Barkley Lake and I don’t go out in those winds.
South winds aren't always the worst, if they are pulling a bunch of water. Unfortunately this weekend, they aren't... It will be pretty dicey, especially north on the lake. Lake is supposed to hit 359 tomorrow morning. There will be some bushes with water on them, especially south, Birdsong area should be good, have some more water in the bushes and a lot more protected.
Not worth it to travel the main lake. Ive never wished to be off a boat so badly in my life than a 20+ mph south wind. Spearing rollers and filling the boat with water. You can trailer to a lot of ramps near big creeks and coves if you are desperate to go.
