    Tempest 21P vs Bravo 1FS 23P

AS per Mercury, if you are wanting to replace a 21P prop with a Bravo 1 FS, you need to increase pitch 2". Anyone here do this on a 150 merc 4S? If so , how did the 23p compare to the 21p? did it effect your RPMs? did it give better or worse performance?

I Have been thinking about a Bravo 1 FS 23P, but no sure if it would work and as you know they are expensive.

The advice Mercury was giving when I bought my Bravo 1 FS was to go one pitch higher than a properly pitched Tempest Plus. My 22p Tempest and 23p Bravo 1 FS hit almost the exact same WOT rpm 5800 ish on my Merc 150 fourstroke.

The Tempest was a dog of a prop for me, though. I sold it even after Croxton worked it for me. It would blow out at break over badly.

I run a 21p Enertia Eco which has a 16" diameter and is made of the X7 allow. It is the best prop in almost every category of the many I tried. My Bravo 1 FS is my backup.

Go up 1 pitch when switching to a Bravo XS. The Bravo's are a terrific prop in every area. They like to run higher than a Tempest at WOT.

I don’t think that is correct. I would run the same pitch Bravo as you do a Tempest.

If interested i have a new never on the water 23P Razor XLR, with cup added and thinned for extra RPM's and lift, I would sell.

my fury3 23p seemed correct for my ranger and mark told me to get a 22p or 23p in his razor xlr. I went 23 and it seems perfect

Mark's Razor XLR is NOT a Bravo FS or XS. Marks props generally run 1" of pitch heavier than a Bravo XS or FS.
