Prop advice ?
Hi all new to the forum! Always searching and researching?! Looking for a new prop for my boat ? Maybe ? It’s as good as I’m gonna get? Looking for some education. !! Gonna list as much info as possible I know that always helps , if more is needed please let me know !!!
1999 Sea ark zx180 - hull weight 920lb
1999 Johnson 90 - 320 lbs
3. Batteries up front approx 120 lbs
1 in the rear approx 50 lbs
1/4 to 1/2 tank fuel usually
1 other man in the boat
Current prop 14x19
Getting 38-39 mph at 5000-5200 rpm
Had some steering torque - raised the motor up maybe 2-3”. Steering is smooth now!
Jumps up on plane quick !!! Overall happy with how it performs !!! Just wondering if there’s more to had ??!! Seeing other aluminum boats , tracker 185’s ,190’s with 90 hp doing mid to high 40’s !!and they weigh more? Open to jack plates, prop sizes , etc !! Any advice or recommendations greatly appreciated!!

Batteries in the front kill your speed. Too much weight for the motor/prop to lift. Too much wetted surface to gain speed. Drag = slow.
