You can view the current maps on the Navionics website's Chart Viewer.

All current map cards are microSD and come with a SD adapter.

Finger Lakes being in upstate NY you then need the Navionics+ Canada-US and yes the card comes in a SD format with a MSD in it.

Question. When i have two Mapping cards in the display, Navionics and Standard mapping chart, and i switch from one to the other, does the Navionics card continue to record the sonar chart live, even though it may not be seen and active on the screen.
    thanks

If under Overlay the sonarchart live is choose the answer is yes. You can also split your screen with 1 page with Navionics and the other page with your other card

I have a couple HDS gen 2 touch units. A 9 and 8 and want the most detailed charting. I travel several times a year to fish. Do I have to buy several different Hotmaps Platinum cards or is there one product that has the same detail I can purchase that covers the US and Canada. Specifically Lake of The Woods and Rainey Lake all the way to Falcon.

Thank you but I don’t understand why the Navionics plus large is the same price but covers much more territory as the Hotmaps platinum if the detail is the same. Are you getting the same detail?

The Hotmaps Platinum has Satellite Overlay, 3D function, Port Photos and Community Edits. All that additional stuff takes up memory space.

Both the Hotmap Platinum and Navionics+ products have Nautical Charts (Navionics maps) and Sonar Charts ( user sonar log generated maps).
Bottom line is the map details are identical if updated the same day.

Currently have a Navionics+Updates card and I am familiar with its use.

Thinking about a second Updates card and have a card to use for that registration.

What is the difference(besides price) between theNavionic+ Updates cards and a Navionics+ large cards?

Do they function the same as far downloading nav and sonar maps?

I don't need the 3d, satellite or panoramic views the other area cards offer.

I admit I did not read all 83 pages, but did a search which did not help.

    Thanks

The Updates card is the exact same card as the Nav+ US and Canada. It has all the same mapping features once activated.

Navionics+ Regional is map coverage for the same regions that the Hotmaps Platinum has and what the discontinued Hotmaps Premium had.
Navionics+ Large has all the maps for the US and Canada

    Yes they function the same.

Originally there was just the 2GB Navionics+ card with no maps. Using that you choose what to download to the card up to the 2GB capacity.
