WOW that was crazy! Wasnt as epic but Wheeler just went threw a similar tournament on Murray when Gill edged him out.. and from a viewers stand point you CAN NOT beat this format! They figured out how to make watching bass fishing exciting!
And im with the ones who said it but all BASS still has is the CLASSIC at this point and its even going down hill

You can't beat this format during the last 10 minutes when it is close. I still don't care for the every fish counts format the rest of the time, but can't deny that was the most exciting last few minutes of fishing I think I've ever watched.

Denny was the one who was pissed when leading because JVD just magically decided to drive 80-85 miles, having to lock through a couple of times to wind up on the exact same spot.

Just happened to stop for lunch on a weekend drive and flipped on the phone right at the minute Lawrence caught that 5lb’r…took a minute to
process he just won the thing in the last 15 seconds. Pretty incredible result for MLF.
Honestly, at first I thought MLF format wouldn't work out and bass would reign supreme but now it's changed for me. I think Bass Elites will do something soon to limit ffs. Like 4hrs on and 4hrs off or every other day. I bet they change their stance next year amd limit it.
It's already been said (just not officially) that they are making a change before next year. What the actual change will be who knows, but it's probably something like you said if I had to guess.

Agreed, we all know MLF/BPT production is miles better than BASS, but the angers I like are mostly on BASS, and that's what I watch mostly b/c of it. But if I've got the time, I do like tuning in for the last 10-15 minutes of a cut day or final day - it's def good tv more often than not. Can't reall put up with the format all day, but that last bit can be exciting for sure.

It's not just that Lawrence caught a fish in the final minute to win it. It is that we knew the official score and knew that he won it with that fish. Did not have to wait for a cheezy way in.

Why wouldn't they like it? Hell they would probably love it. Half the day an angler can't catch jack crap....Finally gets to turn on the scope and immediantly starts catching. What better advertisement could they ask for.

I don't think B.A.S.S will change FFS rules mid season. If they do make changes it will be before next season starts. Just my opinion though.
That’s how I see it too. Drew Gill should be their poster child. Can’t catch a cold without it. Looks like the old KVD with it.
