I'm obviously partial. However I find it rather conclusive that so many bass boat owners who own something other than a Champion, have stated that Champion is the best rough water Bass Boat they have been in. I think that says a lot, when you don't own a Champ. That was always their claim to fame. And I agree, they may not be the fastest bass boat, nor the best at fishsability. But hands down, they are smoothest ride in any type choppy conditions.

221 Champion, Basscat Jaguar, The new 21' Allision. Are my top three. My Old Lanier custom beat all three but wasn't considered a bass boat.

I’ve owned several Champions and been in quite a few. My vote would be for a 201 or 202 champion. If I was going to be in huge huge swells I’d like to be in a 168 Champion soley for the fact that they can turn on a dime and you can ride the trough and then up and over and weave your way back. 168’s are so nimble it’s unreal.

Wide boats just don’t ride like narrow ones. Take a 2x4 and slap the water then turn it on edge and do the same thing snd see which feels better. There is a trade off for everything.

Although a hull of the boat can soften a blow there is no replacement for common sense.

While I don't dispute the maneuvering ability of a Champion 168, if you need one to ride the trough and then up and over and weave your way back, they're not huge, huge swells.

It's pretty funny when a guy from Missouri and a guy from Kansas explain big waves and boating in them to a saltwater guy and a Great Lakes guy.

2023 Xpress H18 with 115 SHO that's optioned to fit my wants and pulled by a little Ram.

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Just smile and walk away.

I've always wanted a 223 Champion - just reminds me of an offshore cigarette boat. It's the only boat I would buy to completely restore.

My Lund Pro V Bass 2075 will handle just about anything without feeling unsafe. I'll try really dumb stuff in this boat- stuff I was scared of in my Ranger and BassCat. But the trade off is its a pretty wet boat.

Do you ever reread your own post? Most clueless statement I’ve ever read.
