I'm not a Solix/Onix guy and suspect Carl or Wayne will be along shortly, but the ACL format is "basically the same" as LM and should work fine as far as I know.

Auto Chart Live cannot be shared. Auto Chart can. Two different file types.

Yes, delete the ACDATA folder.

You may what to copy that folder to your computer if there is a chance you may want that data later.

I deleted acdata folder but when I put the zlc back in the sounder the ac maps are still on the card any help

You'll have to record 8 hrs of new data to overwrite the current data stored in the control head.

Or manually delete all the data off the unit which is tough to do by deleting data points.

I tried (for the first time) to create a mosaic map overlay with the Solix 12 (with the new software update). I've attached an image of what the screen looked like. It looks like it's recording intermittently. It did appeared to function correctly for a minute or two, and then would clear the mosaic, and start displaying the data again. Once I got off the water and tried to import the mosaic, the images that were cleared from the display were not present. It's as though it restarted the recording each time it cleared the screen and any previous data was lost.

Just a question here as I'm a newcomer to Auto Chart. I'm a long time user to the HB with a background to the Bottom Line then the first series 987csi. I have installed the latest Solix G2 flagship units and need to get up to speed on this subject, sorry for the long introduction.

Out of the 50+ pages on this thread where might I beginge on this subject? I've been through many videos of Dougs "Tips and Tricks" videos over the last couple of years (in my viewing time not his distribution timeline).

Where is a good starting point to catch up on the the latest with the newest software or maybe see a glimpse of the resolved past issues?

Capture2.JPGI used Autochart Pro last summer and had no issues but now when I open it, I can't get a clear picture. I can zoom in or zoom out, but the background map is blurry as ever. I'll post an image to show what I'm talking about. I've changed my screen resolutions but don't know what else to do with it.

That background map looks like the basemap in an ONIX or SOLIX. It's always blurry when zoomed in close.

Yes, just record in segments of about one quarter to half hour in case your data is corrupted by a depth glitch.

You can record SI mosaic with the Solix. You can also do a data recording an do SI mosaic maps with AC pro.

Thanks, Bob. That all know, but I try to compare mosaic quality AC PRO vs. mosaic overlay from LiveAC.My friend sent to me record data from Solix, and .sim file from LiveAC(with same area)
Can't open it- .sim file , Record from Solix is easy to open with ACPro- need only rename file Rec000... to R000... This tricks not working with Humviewer, unfortunatley.

Lowrance structure overlay is not impressive vs. Reefmaster/Sonar TRX.

I do not have a Soix, so I can't help much. The one thing I didn't like about mosaic with AC Pro is that instead of merging the SI data if you path overlaps .... it replaces the data. I don't know how that is handled with AC live in the unit.

With 2D depth, the each time you cover an area the accuracy is improved by merging data. I don't know if they ever did that with the SI mosaic or not .... it has been a while since I researched it.
