his rig has some stuff in it for sure, but there always is a dry cab that gets plenty of space in the blend out front.

I love Ace, he had some killer riffs, but Eddie really revolutionized the guitar, and changed the entire direction of guitar based music for 20 years or so.

Gotta go with Eddie on this one, but old KISS is sure fun to listen to, especially on Vinyl.

EVH is in the league above Ace. While not my favorite guitar player of all time(randy Rhodes) Eddie is the gold standard.

Kiss sucks. I'm not a huge Van Halen fan, but at least they made music for adults. Eddie over Ace, no question.

Remember hearing KISS all learned to play their instruments after they started their garage band. Use the term "learned" loosely!! Gene could play the hell outa the base by the time he was 83 tho!

I think I'd rather spend a day in the boat with Ace.

Yep, both were huge influences to me learning guitar. Eddie blows him away. But Ace is the coolest of the two.

So BBC has spoken! EVH by a landslide according to posts. Maybe we can get them to audition for us live. Now that would be cool! There are many great guitar players but EVH is among the best. Ace is just cool but ability is not one of the best to me. Sorry Ace,nothing personal! I'm sure he is watching.

Eddie is the better player but Ace is the better stage performer

Ace has inspired a lot of today's guitar players!

Saw Kiss two times in the 70s. First time it was a novelty. The second show I was 18. Almost everyone one there was pushing 12 or13 and with a parent or parents. Pretty much summed up the appeal of the music. Never took them as serious musicians or played their records thinking these guys are great.

Van Halen was the California version of Zeppelin in their early heyday. You bought an album for the sound because it was new and no one else did it as good in the mainstream.

Everyone that grew up in the 80's pretended that they were Eddie when they played air guitar. It was no contest. Kiss has made a hell of a living selling action figures though!
