It’s not everyday that your daughter comes up to you and tells you that she wants to leave college and join the Army (active duty).... A mix of emotions overcame me as a father, but I’m proud of her. She wanted to be a Combat Engineer like I was in the Marines, but thankfully I was able to talk her into the IT field which makes mom and dad feel better. She leaves for basic in April.
