Really sorry too hear that- I've been there. Get to networking and looking as soon as possible- you have to out-work your competition in your area. Never give up! Consider extra training if it is something that will help. Employers like people who demonstrate they aren't still locked into the old job that isn't any more. Good luck and keep us informed.
As someone else mentioned Rolls Royce in Indianapolis is expanding. I'm from Dayton , Ohio and there are a number of machining companies hiring. As far as I know they're all in aerospace with quite a bit of their work due to Rolls.
Don't give up. Keep trying.
