The 26 Fury has a theoretical pitch of approximately 26.7.

The 26P Trophy Plus would be the equivalent of approximately 1 pitch point DROP.

26P Tempest Plus would be approximately 1/2 pitch point lower.

Keep in mind these are "averages"... props do vary (and can vary immensely if they've been worked on).

I might have a couple decent used or reworked props in this range... drop me an email with your contact info, if interested.

25 fury helped a lot. Close to 4000 rpm taking off and only lost 1 mph on top. Tached around 6200 which I'm thinking isn't right. Should have hit a limiter I think. Not sure what it is on this engine. Can take off with full live wells now. Only once did it struggle to go today fully loaded . Still just doesn't seem to have the pep on the bottom end it should . May replace the reeds since I need to get the metal ones out of there anyway.maybe they're not seating properly at lower rpm.

TDR's would definitely help on the bottom-end grunt (as well as mid-range "punch").

Your tach may actually be inaccurate....

    Be sure to report back.

Strongly recommend taking your time lapping the reed cages, and assembling the reeds. Takes a little time and patience... but if done correctly, the results can be rewarding.

Started installing reeds today. Checked them all out first and found one hanging open slightly. After more investigation, there was a piece of something metallic from who knows where embedded in the rubber holding the reed open . No damage done luckily ,but at least i found something wrong here,,,. Got about half of them lapped and installed. It takes a bit to get em right. Hopefully, there's something good that comes from it now that one wont be leaking

Was the metal aluminum, or steel?

So small it was hard to tell. Appeared to be aluminum though . Was going to magnet check it,but when I touch it,it fell off and got lost.lol had the appearance of a small piece of casting flash actually

Ran it today. The surge I had when holding steady around 2800 is totally gone now. Wherever I want to hold rpms now it holds rock solid. So looks like that trash under the one reed was the culprit of that issue. Otherwise it ran good with no issues. As far as power difference ,there really isn't any. If there is,it's so minor I can't tell. Pretty much no low rpm gain that I could really tell.maybe a slight bit smoother all around though.

The reeds normally won't result in any "gain of RPM's".... just smoother idle performance (and crisper throttle low/mid range response than STEEL reeds).

A friend of mine was having a similar problem with his 200 yamaha...took a long time to get on plane..all around loss of performance....turned out his water vapor separator was nearly full of H2O...changed out the separator with a new one and all was good ...

I didn't mean really any gain of rpm don. I just meant i didn't notice any increase in torque in the lower rpm range

Gotcha. Just out of curiousity... were the reeds you removed "steel", or were they carbon-fiber (perhaps 2-stage reeds)?

They were the original steel reeds. Was out all last night and still all is good with the surge. Motor is still just a dog out of the hole though.it is what it is I guess. I could go down more in prop but I shouldn't have to. This thing would turn a 27 on top end rpm wise. The 25 is not enough prop in the mid and top end. And the 26 carries it really well mid and top.

Your third and four sentences in this quote speaks volumes. Your next step should be to get a accurate test of the RPM's, because it sounds like you gauge is not accurate.
