98 Stratos 273 w/ 150 Faststrike
Sorry to bring this thread back up but I fished a rather large tourny yesterday on G'ville. This Is the last time I comment or add additional information to this thread.
Air temp: 48 to 70
Water Cond: 50 degrees +-; 6" to 1' chop
Two people, full tank, livewells full, partner may as well brought his boat (6 rods, two soft bags, and enough food for both of us), I've got basically everything in the boat now (spare yammie prop and minn kota prop, small tool bag, first aid kit, rope, prop wrench, jumper cables, spare life jacket, rain suit, change of clothes, etc), 13 combos, PTO slam full.
Top speed: 63.45 according to GPS max spped that was reset yesterday morning
MAx RPM: 5950 to 6000
Boat handled extremely well for any boat G'ville. I'm tickled with my purchase and would recommend one to anyone; however, I've been known to build/modify something "right" and then get rid of it. Know anybody interested?![]()

jason what was your motor set at i have same boat motor and only runnin 60 turning 5400 rpm prop has been worked by farley stewart in opelika
Todd,
It's been a couple of years and a couple of boats since I had that combo, but I believe I was somewhere around 3" below the pad (maybe even higher). I had the 25 Tempest with I think two small holed and one medium holed plugs.
I had a GREAT holeshot with my setup. I'll be glad to help you out, but it may end up being a hands-on kind of thing. The one thing to remember with having a prop worked---It doesn't always turn out better. Prop guys can mess one up just as easy as they make one better. Even the best prop guys can mess up a prop.
