Just read the board activity on here phoenix and basscat are the tow hottest boards. Also the volume of calls we receive at our dealership regarding these two brands is incredible to say the least

I'm afraid it's gone beyond that! THe whole point to this thread was for someone to correct the flat out LIE on the other board, that a Phoenix hull was a "tweaked" 201 hull. Then everyone else had to add their 2 cents.

Who better than to explain (objectively, and truthfully) that the man who has BOTH hulls on his lot.

I should not have even posted the topic. I should have know better... you can't fix STUPID!

Wow, Really Blub? Do you really believe everyone on the BCB forum is "stupid". Looks like maybe one person was "miss-informed" big deal it happens. Guess we should all hang out over here with all the "smart folks". Sounds like a little cult following over here as well-not necessarily a bad thing for any company. Is any boat or company perfect? No, but I'm very happy with my Cat. John S.

    Guys,
    It really boils down to...
Who in their right mind is going to slap down the kind of money we all did and NOT say "my boat is the best!"
Even if my 719 wasn't the best boat on the planet (which it is! ), do you think I would get up here and say "damn I just spent $40k+ and this thing sucks!" Come on! This topic is really to stroke our own ego and to provide justification to all of us for paying way too much for a fishing platform!

    Just keeping it real!

I read the thread over there. Pretty much what I thought it would be. All about their "perfect boat" and everything else is junk. There is no having an adult discussion with people like that, so I just try to stay out of them anymore. All it did was steer me away from the brand, and cause me to look elsewhere.... and Im glad I did

No boat is perfect. But there IS a boat out there that is perfect "for you". Some people need to grow up and realize that. Different/not been around as long etc... doesnt make them less of a boat, it just makes them different. Every boat company had to start somewhere at sometime. It seems some have forgot that. Seems they also forgot that there are other companies who have been around longer than them. Does that make their boats "not as good"? Not at all.

I just choose to avoid it. Its not a religion. It has past that and has "cult" status now

I fished a tourney this weekend, and saw 3 birds on the water. Sweet looking boats. I also saw some older Ranger, Champs... all kinds of boats that were SWEET!. I enjoyed looking at all of them. Its a boat, and there are a LOT of brands out there making good ones While Phoenix is for me, it may not be for everyone else. It doesnt mean I think what they own is crap, its just not for me. I understand that. Its a shame others cant.</td></tr></table>
