^ this!! There are rescue groups for every breed and mix you can think of. They can find you any pup you wish and from any age!
I have 2 rescues. One came to me at age 12 weeks, the other at 10 months. Their hearts are yours from day one!!!!

My neighbors have a pair similar to her. Their property is long and skinny. Every morning about the time I get home from work he turns them loose to burn up some energy. I ain't never seen anything run so fast. One morning one of them ran behind my truck and smacked the hitch pretty hard. That had to hurt![]()
Chow mixes make great varmit dogs. Ours caught and killed something nearly every morning when the garden was in. Her life was ended too soon at the age of 4.5 after getting hit by a carShe was half Chow, half Finnish Spitz, 100% $#!thead

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Just smile and walk away.

Probably one of the most intense huntin dogs I've been around. When she's out, ain't nothin safe. We hunt Chukars and quail in Nevada and can wear 3 GSP'S and 2 Visalis out in 3-4 days. Don't know of another dog that can keep up. Of all the dogs I have been thru, I still love the Lab the best. For my next one, I'm thinkin about might be a Drahthaar.
What's the breeding on your pointing lab. My Chocolate is a pointing lab. It's Way cool to have a lab that will lock up and hold a bird.

My dad's hunting buddy had a brittany that was a fantastic dog. She was great on pheasants and had a gentle demeanor. We had alot of amazing pheasant hunts thanks to her. Good luck with your search:thumbup:
I have four small munsterlanders and hands down best dogs we ever had.Great hunters and great with people and jids. I pheasant hunt and after the first two weeks birds do not hold well for dogs .Thats why I love my munsters they work naturally a little closer in and dont run as big as my old shorthairs. In later part of the season the birds are not getting up out of range like with my shorthairs.
I also duck hunt and having a little smaller dog is also a big plus. We are having our first litter in april if you interested.
thanks,
Cliff
I'm going to the bar tonite I'll see what I can do for ya partner
