I like his coloring, looks like a good size for the boat etc. I think and hope it will work out for you.

Re: Possible new member of my family (yanknbass)

Since someone brought this post back up I will give you an update. The bad news, we did not end up getting this dog. He did not pass the cat test. They put him in a foster home for a couple of days and he was too aggressive towards the cats. As we already have two cats and under the pains of possibly losing my man card, I like them, we had to pass on the dog. The good news is that we are going to see another rescue dog Saturday morning. We are first in line and we are hoping all goes well with this one.

Awesome to see you guy's going for a Rescue. One of our Boston Terriers is a rescue that was very mistreated at an early age. Took him about 6 months to begin to trust us fully. He is the most loyal, loving, well mannered dog you could imagine. Once a rescue knows they can trust you they give it right back to you ten folds.

Our last dog was also a rescue. When taken in it was seriously underweight and showed signs of abuse. When we first got her, if you put your hand out to pet her head she would cringe. In a very short time in our home she became a very happy, loyal, and well-adjusted dog. We got her at the age of two and had her for only five short years when she passed away unexpectedly from bloat.
