Most people are LSU fans or Tulane fans, not football fans. Nicholls can play of a Saturday night and they only draw about 3,000 spectators. Even when LSU is on a bye week, LSU fans won't go to a Nicholls game. Nicholls baseball draws about 200. Let LSU come to town, and it's standing room only. People are tailgating under the trees all day.
Yeah...I should have specified that my feelings are the same for SU, ULL, ULM, Nichols, NSU, Tulane, etc...
Oh yeah...and LSU basketball, soccer, rugby, track and field, tennis, badminton, and bowling....
I had a senior moment. Naming all La. players not just from LSU.

I agree... but.. if you ever get bored, go to a SLU football game. The tailgating is cool and the game usually isn't too bad!
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Baton Rouge police executed a search warrant at the apartment of LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson late Wednesday afternoon. Baton Rouge Police Sergeant Don Stone says investigators gathered enough probable cause to execute a search for certain items that will "help prove or disprove the allegations against him (Jefferson)."
Police left the apartment near LSU with several paper bags filled with items they seized from Jefferson's apartment. Police would not say what items were seized.
Jefferson was at home at the time of the search.
The search warrant was signed by District Court Judge Chip Moore, WAFB's Jim Shannon reported.
Jefferson is one of four LSU football players police are investigating in connection with a fight at Shady's bar near the LSU campus last week. The fight sent four young men, who are not members of the team, to a hospital for treatment. Police say one of the victims has three fractured vertebrae.
The four implicated players were interviewed by police for several hours Tuesday.

Now to the screw,nuts and bolts of this thread. U see fella's I have much respect for Roger. Roger, it's not that you're having senior moment. What you have experienced is something that is called sticking to the question - Like answering the question that is being asked. Which was to make a list of all players from "our" state "schools" who made it to the pro level. But however some decided to express their opinion in another form likewise - Which is ok after all we live in a free country.
So to all my bass fishing friends out there - Let's keep the conversation healthy and vibrant. Even though we're having some issues out on the bluff. I will always bleed the Blue and GoLd!

@ Rebel1, U right bout the SWAC. Awesome players! While my dad was going to grad nite school on Southern campus. He took me to a Sat. nite game where Mr. Sweetness was the main attraction. That's right Mr. Walter Payton. Man you talking about a human highlight show! They don't make football players like that anymore. I watched him play almost every position on the field that night. Unreal! I also witness Mr. Jerry Rice coming to Baton Rouge one weekend to put 101 points on the scoreboard. Yes, it was a track meet. Southern losted scoring 89 points. Then the falling weekend Mr. Rice made a trip down town the Harvard on the Bayou, to Thibadoux. It was another murder scene also. I think Miss. Valley (Mr. Jerry Rice) put 105 on them likewise.

You're right B, I was at that game when Jerry Rce & now Coach Willie Totten Flew into Mumford and put up those basketball like scores. That was one hell of a game! We were actually doing quite well until our QB Norman Gibbs got hurt. We did win at Half-Time though!
Yeh, If the game would have ended at half time. Southern would have won it, but we had another 2 more quarters to play.
