man Bobby found a good beach/swimming/chilling spot! lol, pretty water and little beach with shade. never did that back in the day but as ive got older and go out with the wife and kids. Nice to fish a little then pull up and chill. Used to i couldnt stop fishing now i enjoy that very much

I have been fishing the lake for 20 years. Told my wife once we become empty nesters I am leaving our wv farm and heading south. Not sure she believed me. Last April I left a job of 20 years, found a job in roanoke, and a little cape cod to rent while I looked. This march we purchased a new home construction home 2000 feet from the lake. She came down in May and my dream has come true. Truly is a special lake with an outstanding striper and bass population. We still have trouble believing it crossing the bridge every evening. Been sitting on the porch in the evenings watching the crush city. Optima, fishusa, and a couple more roll past the house.

We just bought a modular on the lake last fall and love it. My plan now is to buy a decent rental house down there and hopefully have it paid for by the time I retire and move there full time.
