I just purchased a spool of JDM PEX8 Micro Braid. It's the same line Dustin Connell uses. This stuff is EXPENSIVE! I haven't had it on the water yet, but the feel of it indicates extremely high quality. It's as smooth as silk and has a very small diameter.

I prefer power pro for heavier baitcasting applications. It cuts through weeds well and I don't really care about color fading as I usually black out the first 1 to 2 feet by the lure with a sharpie anyway.

Spinning rods, I have been using 832 from 8lb to 15lb. 20lb for dock skipping I prefer power pro.

I would like to try some sinking braids, but I am sure the Berkleys and the Sufix's of the world are going to come out with that sooner rather than later.

    Daiwa J-Braid Grand (8 strand)

I've used several brands over the years, and this has been great for me. It casts like a dream, doesn't fade out, I found it cuts through grass / weeds with ease, and lasts. On spinning reels it excels up to 20 lbs on sizes up to 3000. If you go above that, it works, but it reduces casting distances.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

Do yourself a favor and try Cortland. It's great braid. I used power pro for years. But this line is much better.

I have never seen a loop in my Nanofil line, or any other problems on my spinning reels (including break-offs), but of course it has been discontinued.
